From 22 to 24 May 2025 the University of Münster is hosting the 11th conference of the International Society for Islamic Legal Studies (ISILS).
The conference opens with a roundtable on Researching and Teaching Sharīʿa in 2025, followed by the opening panel Belonging to a Madhhab: Formation, Cohesion and Diversity in Islamic Schools of Law. In six further panels, international scholars discuss a range of topics on the history and present of Islamic law.
